Everest treks
Sherpa villages, high lakes and the walk to the foot of the world’s highest peak.
The Khumbu is home to Everest Base Camp, the turquoise Gokyo Lakes and the demanding Three Passes route. Most treks start with a flight to Lukla and follow well-built teahouse trails through Sherpa villages and monasteries; shorter options include the Everest View trek to Namche and the Pikey Peak trek in the lower Solu hills. Altitude is the main challenge here, so plan acclimatisation days with your partner.
5 treks in Everest

Everest Base Camp
Fly to Lukla and follow the Khumbu valley through Namche Bazaar and Tengboche to Everest Base Camp and the Kala Patthar viewpoint.

Gokyo Lakes
A quieter alternative to EBC: turquoise glacial lakes, the Ngozumpa glacier and the view of four 8,000 m peaks from Gokyo Ri.

Everest Three Passes
The full Khumbu loop over Kongma La, Cho La and Renjo La, linking Everest Base Camp and Gokyo. For fit, acclimatised trekkers.

Everest View
The short taste of the Khumbu: fly to Lukla, walk via Phakding to Namche Bazaar and climb to Hotel Everest View for a close look at Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam, then return the same way.

Pikey Peak
A lower Solu trek from Dhap through Sherpa villages and rhododendron forest to Pikey Peak, with a sunrise panorama from Everest to Makalu – no Lukla flight needed. Ends in Junbesi or Phaplu.
